Foshan Taoyuan Institute of advanced manufacturing was established in Foshan high tech Zone on December 9, 2020. As an important platform for technological innovation and achievement transformation of the Institute of new materials of Guangdong Academy of Sciences, focusing on the needs of major projects and key industries of the country, Guangdong Province and Foshan City, the Institute focuses on the R & D, achievement docking and transfer incubation of modern material surface coating technology, so as to provide technical support for advanced manufacturing and new material industry. In order to give full play to the good scientific research conditions of the research institute platform, activate the scientific research and academic exchange atmosphere of the Research Institute, and improve the scientific research level of the Research Institute, the application guide for open fund in 2022 is hereby issued. It is planned to support no more than 8 projects this year, with a total annual fund of no more than 500000 yuan. The project application is now publicly solicited, and the requirements are as follows:

[1]、 Application conditions

1. In principle, the applicant shall have a doctor's degree or associate professor or above, and be a scientific research and technical personnel engaged in relevant research in universities, scientific research institutes or enterprises. Personnel from other units are encouraged to apply jointly with researchers of the Institute. According to the nature of the open fund, focus on supporting projects led by personnel outside the Research Institute and cooperating with personnel of the research institute to work in the laboratory and fill the gaps in the laboratory.

2. The content of open fund application shall comply with the scope of the Institute's open fund application guidelines, with novel research content, prominent focus, clear objectives and clear technical route.

In combination with the development of material surface engineering, especially the development of coating, film and additive manufacturing technology, and focusing on the characteristics of Taoyuan Advanced Manufacturing Research Institute, the open fund of Taoyuan Research Institute in 2022 will closely focus on the research direction of material surface strengthening technology, support technology and advanced material research projects with clear application prospects, and the subject should have clear application export, Provide technical support for advanced manufacturing and new material industries. The open fund project of Taoyuan research institute takes application research as the first place, and carries out research activities around industry common technologies and key issues, especially those related to wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant protection of equipment parts and components such as light industrial machinery, petroleum machinery and marine equipment.

Priority funding:

1. Coating technology development.

2. Metal material additive manufacturing technology.

3. Design, preparation and application technology of hard films.

4. Study on laser surface strengthening technology.

[3]、 Application procedure and time

1. According to the research direction supported by the Institute's open fund application guide, the applicant fills in the application form for open fund of Foshan Taoyuan Advanced Manufacturing Research Institute (see Annex) in triplicate. The paper application shall be signed by the main members of the research group. After being signed by the competent leader of the unit and stamped with the official seal of the unit, the application shall be submitted to the Institute and the electronic version of the application shall be submitted. The content of the electronic application must be consistent with that of the paper version.

2. After receiving the project application, the research institute shall conduct formal review, and organize the academic committee to review after passing the review, and select the best for funding. After the open fund project application is reviewed and approved, the project applicant shall be notified by e-mail (if it fails to pass the review, no further notice will be given).

3. The deadline for application of open fund in 2022 is February 12, 2022. Interested applicants are requested to send the electronic and paper versions of the declaration to the designated address before the deadline.

4. For the officially supported projects reviewed and determined by the academic committee of the Research Institute, a project contract will be signed with the approver. The content of the project contract is consistent with the application, but it can be modified appropriately with reference to the expert review opinions.

4、 Notes on Open Fund

1. The amount of each subsidy of the open fund is 50000-100000 yuan, and the implementation period is generally 1-1.5 years (January 2022 to June 2023). The project will be implemented after the research institute signs the project contract with the project leader. If extension is required, an application for extension must be submitted to the research institute 3 months in advance, and the extension shall not exceed 1 year.

2. Key projects shall publish at least 2 high-level papers or apply for at least 2 patents, and general projects shall publish at least 1 high-level paper or apply for at least 1 patent. The person in charge of the project shall submit the annual list of published papers or patent applications and electronic version every year.

3. During the implementation of the project, the research institute shall regularly check the progress of open topics, and the project leader shall submit an annual progress report to the Research Institute. If the Institute fails to submit the annual progress report within the specified time limit without justified reasons, or the progress seriously lags behind the annual plan, the Institute will reduce or terminate the subsidy and recover the remaining funds.

4. The funds are used by the person in charge of the project according to the budget. The funds are mainly used for materials, processing and testing, purchase of small instruments, academic conferences, publishing patent fees, travel, personnel fees, etc. After the completion of the project, the project leader shall make final accounts for the use of funds in time.

5. After the open project is completed, the research work conclusion report, published (or accepted) academic papers, applied patents and final statement of project funds must be submitted to the Research Institute. The academic committee of the Academy will determine whether to grant rolling grants according to the progress of the project.

6. The research results (including papers, patents, monographs, etc.) and research reports of open topics shall be shared by the Research Institute and the unit to which the researchers belong (or shared according to the agreement). The identification and reward of results shall be jointly handled by the Research Institute and the unit to which the researchers belong. If you apply for a patent, it shall be handled in accordance with the relevant provisions of the patent law.

7. For the papers published with the support of the open fund, the project leader shall be the first author or corresponding author, and the completion unit shall sign "Foshan Taoyuan Institute of advanced manufacturing", and shall indicate that they are supported by the open fund of Foshan Taoyuan Institute of advanced manufacturing, Written research results published in English shall be supported by the opening project of Foshan Taoyuan Institute of advanced manufacturing and project number.

8. Other matters not covered shall be implemented in accordance with the measures for the administration of open fund of Foshan Taoyuan Advanced Manufacturing Research Institute (Provisional).
